What to expect

A follow up acupuncture appointment takes 1 hour.
In the consultation, which takes around 15 minutes, I will review any changes and progress made since the previous session.

Treatment:
Needles remain in place for around 20 to 30 minutes while you lie still and relax. There is usually no discomfort during the needle removal.
How to prepare for your appointment:
Dress comfortably, so that you can relax and enjoy the treatment.
Make up - please make sure your face is clear of foundation, powder and blusher.
Acupuncture needles are inserted at specific points on your face. The needles are extra thin (thinner than the ordinary needles used for the body). Between 20 and 50 needles are used in a typical facial treatment. Depending on your diagnosis, I may also include gua sha, massage, cupping, or acupressure.

Please arrive on time for your appointment - late arrivals may not receive a full treatment, but will still be charged in full.

Acu & Co. reserves the right to refuse treatment for anyone appearing to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Inappropriate behaviour will also not be tolerated.

Please note that Acu & Co. requires at least 48 hours notice for appointment cancellations. Appointments cancelled within 48 hours may be subject to 50% fee. I can sometimes fill the appointment from my waiting list, in which case I will let you know.
