About me
Hi, I'm Lucia - founder of Acu & Co. and a qualified acupuncturist and naturopath, based in Barnes where I live with my husband Charlie and our wonderful Airedale, Lola.

My own personal experience as an acupuncture patient led me to discover its benefits almost 20 years ago, shortly after relocating to the UK. Having grown up in Slovakia, I was raised in a family that valued the healing powers of nature. From hiking and picking herbs in the Tatras mountains during summer holidays, mushroom foraging in the autumn, to helping on the family’s allotments – I loved to learn my Mum and Grandma's knowledge
of natural remedies, recipes, and holistic healing. My fascination with the benefits of food and herbs was further deepened by my favourite book at the time, the Reader's Digest edition of Foods That Harm, Foods That Heal.

This passion for holistic wellness led me to embark on a four-year journey of study at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, graduating with merit in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and Naturopathy, before going into practice.
​
As my knowledge and practical skills have developed over the years, I feel very lucky to now be in a position to share these with others by encouraging them to unlock their own potential for lasting health transformations. I am dedicated to helping my clients to uncover the underlying causes of their specific conditions, both physical and emotional, and working collaboratively to design tailored holistic programmes to address them.
